This was a really fun song to record and film. Thanks, Madison, for all your work in filming and editing this video!
In case anyone was thinking that it is supremely fun and enjoyable to film a music video (especially for people like us who don't really know how to film or make one), here is a look at what really went on during the night I filmed "Beautiful Death" with my family.
I co-wrote this song with my Mom, and recorded it with her this summer. My sister, Madison, played bass guitar for the song. Hope you enjoy it!
I leave tomorrow for a fishing trip with my dad. So excited to spend time enjoying the beauty of God's creation, and to visit family and old friends. Don't worry all you road travelers out there... since I have had my driver's permit for only 2 weeks, I won't be doing any of the highway driving.
Great news! This website and my Youtube page have been live for about a week, and we are deeply encouraged by the support we've received from friends and family. "A Thousand Arrows" is also now available for download on CD Baby and Amazon and itunes! In addition, the creation of the physical CD is in progress. However, it may take 2-4 weeks for the discs to be available, so the only current means of purchasing the album is through download. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to listen to my songs and/or view the videos!
Our family is awaiting the mastering of the final few songs of my debut album, "A Thousand Arrows", tonight and tomorrow (August 1-2). This means that it is likely within two or three weeks of release. What a joy to be able to have such a project take shape so quickly under God's hands! Again, be sure to subscribe to LoganTylerMusic on Youtube and check out the new album and any other new songs or videos.
Today was a fascinating day for me. After passing my driver's knowledge exam, I received my instruction permit and drove for an hour behind the wheel for the first time. I reassure all new drivers, it isn't as mortifying as you think. Sure, I sent my dogs into the front seat a couple of times from slamming on the brakes too hard, but aside from that it felt like "riding on the heights of the earth" (Isaiah 58: 14). Praise God for his provision over us in all things, whether we eat, drink, sleep, or drive!
On July 19, 2019, my great grandmother passed away. My family and I grew extremely close to her over this past year especially, and her death struck a blow to all of us. Also on July 19, we finished the music video for the song "Home Sweet Home." What three simple words could more profoundly describe where my great grandmother is right now! Instead of mourning, we can rejoice that one day we all will stand in the presence of the Almighty with Great-Grandma. Thank you, Lord!
